We have the victory the battle won
The triumphs ours through God’s own Son
The foe defeated., the prize we claim
A crown of gold in Jesus name
The banner ragged yet held a high
His royal emblem shall ever fly
The enemy came as a flood
Crimson red its stained by His blood
He fought He won my King He reigns
He broke forever sins binding chains
His royal army ranked row in row
Stand triumphant over the foe
There is no defeat we are not downcast
Hear the victory note in the trumpet blast
The shout of saints in triumph voice
With the King of kings we can rejoice
He sits in glory upon throne seat
His enemies shamed and in defeat
He Reigns on high with sceptre rod
Our Saviour king and almighty God
